Millburn Distillery 1920s

 

What a fantastic image and my thanks to the Forgotten Whisky History Facebook Group for highlighting its existence.  

There's an atmospheric aspect highlighted by the black and white image and sense of darkness with the brooding brickwork. A cool car also adds mystery, was this the owner or manager who could afford such a luxury?

This looks like the cottage which stood in front of the main distillery building, while the former has long since vanished, the larger building remains. 

Putting it into perspective today, this bay area is now the alcove between the two major hotel buildings and where some cars can be parked.
